read the room
Room temperature, or the temperature at which humans are the most comfortable, can be either measured or experienced, but never both at the same time. If I'm comfortable, but upon looking at a thermometer discover that the ambient temperature is 75, I immediately realize how swelteringly warm it is and crank the air conditioner.
Once I'm comfortable again, if I check the temperature and realize that it's now 65, far too cold to be comfortable, I'll turn the AC down to its previous level.
This cycle, in its present form, will continue until the heat death of the universe. It is thus that I propose the complete abolition of the insidious practice of thermometry 🦝
